Despite what others may say growing Hydroponic Marijuana is HARD. Its is usually only attempted by novice and advanced growers who have more experience in growing Marijuana.
The reasons behind this are there are more things to be responsible for, which means more things can go WRONG. The art of growing marijuana hydroponically can be very unforgiving, and one mistake can destroy an entire crop. However, when you can grow hydroponics the benefits are countless. Let me explain.
- No soil is needed. – Minimum clean-up!
- Grows 2X faster than soil
- Increase overall yield size – Harvest more marijuana per plant

I am a graduate of the MedGrow Medical Marijuana college here in the Detroit area. Quite a bit of time was spent on the virtues of various hydro systems. I am interested in making the switch from soil to some basic 5 gal. hydo system for a few of my White Rhino seedlings. I would like to do a comparison between the hydro system and the soil system. I will be glad to share the results.
Sincerely,
Rev. Robert Stuart
I would love to hear about your results. If you have pictures to share that would be sweet as well, I’ll post them to the blog. Drop by anytime. Thanks.

I’ve been growing for about 10 yrs now all but 2 yrs have been growing hydroponically, I’ve just recently started using a dwc recirculating 4 bucket system that I built with parts that I had. I have numerous books on marajuana horticulture the thing that all of them lack is detailed descriptions of pest and diseases and what to do about them also they don’t really detail much about each hydro system. I just ordered your book and was hoping that yours does. I always look for good information and I like to pass it on too. I hope I can help out my fellow growers with the your info.
Looking forward to growing hydroponically and trying to get experience to be in the race for the day Medicinal Grower is a job you can apply for and not get arrested. Thanks for the forum. Have a great day!
I’m part way through my first grow, started with hydroponics (yea, I know, not the best for a first time grower).I have a small cabinet with a DWC setup and CFL’s to use for starts, and a larger cabinet with a drip system and T8 and T5 fluorescent tubes to grow to maturity. I’m using feminized seeds from the English company, got them during one of their sales. I’ve had a few duds but most of them grew. My biggest problem so far has been over fertilization. Starting about two weeks ago I switched to 12 on 12 off and 2700k lighting. Flowers are forming, they look sort of like seed pods, very few white hairs protruding yet. Approx. how many weeks left before they are ready?
thanks for the info knew on hydro getting to learn some good info
